From 1st April 2022 the way you receive your vaccinations for overseas travel will change. This means that you will no longer receive these from your GP, instead you can book your vaccination via one of the following outlets. The changes are for both adult and childhood vaccination travel vaccinations.
In NHSGGC, you will be able to receive your vaccination from one of the following providers:
If you live in North West Glasgow please contact:
Emcare
Call: 0141 816 1002
If you live in any other area of NHSGGC please contact:
City Doc
Call: 0141 367 3003
4 Travel Vaccines are available on the NHS (Typhoid, Hepatitis A, DPT and Cholera) at no direct cost to the patient. Any other vaccinations will incur a cost to the patient as at present
Patients should access information on what vaccinations are required, together with malarial and safe travel advice at Fit for Travel
Some travel vaccines and all Malaria prophylaxis medication are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
