All consultations are by appointment i.e. the practice does not offer a drop-in surgery.

We offer a range of morning and afternoon consulting sessions from 9 AM until 5 PM every day. We also have early opening on a Tuesday morning and a late night appointment on a Monday.

Extended Opening – these clinics operate on Mondays up to 6.15 pm and Tuesdays starting at 7.30 am for those who are working and cannot attend the Doctor during normal hours.

Urgent Problems

Please explain to the receptionist as fully as possible the nature of the problem – we aim to see any genuinely urgent case on the same day.

An ill child will almost always be seen on the same day.

In An Emergency

This includes sudden onset of chest pain, breathlessness, collapse, or severe bleeding. In this event call immediately 999.

Telephone Appointments

We also offer the choice of a pre-booked phone appointment with the doctor. This can often be a convenient and time-saving alternative to attending the surgery. Please ask at reception for further information.

Cancelled Appointments

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice, in good time, that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also cancel an appointment if you have received a text with you appointment date and time. There will be an option on the text to do this. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays).

If you are Late

Please attend your appointment on time. If you are late you may not be seen.

Interpreter

If you require an interpreter the Doctor can arrange this for you using Language Line, this is a telephone consultation line that both GP and patient can use.

Private Medical Examinations

Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc, will require longer than a routine appointment.

These examinations do not form part of NHS Services, you will be charged for any such examination. Please check the fee chargeable when you require to arrange any such examination.

Request for GP Letters/Completion of Forms

If your Doctor has agreed to write a letter for you in connection with your employment, acting as a referee, or for some other specific area, you will be charged for this letter. Please allow at least 5 working days before collecting your letter, if you require this letter urgently please inform your Doctor during your consultation. If you wish your Doctor to complete a form/report for you, there will also be a charge for this, please allow 48 hours before uplifting your form.
